Turkey is not the Netherlands. Not Thailand, not Bali. There is no informal tolerance zone, no wink-and-nod culture β even in tourist-heavy areas. The law is actively enforced, and foreign tourists are absolutely not exempt.
Turkish society is broadly conservative about drug use, and this isn't just official policy. Hotel staff, resort workers, taxi drivers β most people you'd encounter won't cover for you, and some will actively report. The assumption that "tourist areas are different" is one of the most common and costly mistakes visitors make.
The consequences of being caught are not proportionate to what many Western tourists consider a minor offence. Pre-trial detention, criminal proceedings, and deportation are real outcomes. And they happen.

Turkey doesn't need any help. Here's what actually works:
Not a tourist trap if you go to a real one. Find a neighbourhood hammam rather than a hotel spa version. About 200β300 TL, you'll be horizontal for an hour, genuinely can't move afterwards. One of the better experiences you can have in any city.
You can sit at a Γ§ay evi (tea house) for three hours with a few glasses of tea for almost nothing. It's genuinely how locals spend time. Nobody will rush you. Bring a book, or don't.
The coastline here is legitimately extraordinary β sea caves, hidden bays, water so clear it looks fake. A full-day tour from the old harbour is worth every lira. Suluada if you can get there.
Genuinely world-class and absurdly cheap compared to Western Europe. Fresh seafood at the harbour, proper mezze in Kaleiçi, pide, lahmacun, simit with tea at 7am. Just eat everything.
Alcohol is legal for adults 18+ and widely available. The bar scene in KaleiΓ§i and the beach clubs on Lara Beach are solid. Rooftop bars, live music, late nights β it's a proper holiday destination.

Came from Frankfurt. Probably only CBD options there. Unfortunatelly. .
Someone dropped the link, and I can confirm it's a legit service with fast delivery t.me/outsw
look. everyone at home said turkey is fine don't worry. they were wrong lol. completely different vibe from day one. even asking about it at the hotel felt like a terrible idea and i didn't even get that far. the hammam was genuinely one of the best things i've ever done though so... just trust the process i guess
Don't say thank you. Just text this guy. My local friend from Antalya recommended him t.me/outsw
i tried to ask about it, but no luck. itβs really hard to find anything there...
My friend came from Amsterdam with some CBD oil β completely legal at home, low THC, professional certificate from the shop. She got pulled aside at customs for almost TWO hours. They let her go eventually but she was shaking.
first 5 minutes at antalya airport: blue sky, warm air, beautiful. then the dog walked past our bags. my heart completely stopped. we had NOTHING but that moment genuinely aged me ten years. read the rules. they are absolutely not joking here and honestly i respect it
border from rhodes. full search. vehicle, bags, everything. we knew the rules. fine. but wow. just wow.
Out of curiosity, I asked a staff member at the resort. They gave me a hard 'no way' right off the bat and explained exactly why. That was all I needed to hear. Instead, I spent the week on boat trips, in the hammam, and eating incredible food. No regrets at all.
